Viagra May Double Your Risk Of Skin Cancer

New Report Notes That Using Viagra May Double Your Risk Of Skin Cancer

Have you ever tried using certain drugs to elevate your  - sexual performance? While the use of sexual performance-enhancing medications  is not generally bad, as long as it has your doctor’s approval, a new report notes that the use of popular enhancement pills like Viagra can not just double your performance in bed, but it can also double your risks of getting melanoma! Let’s dig deeper on what this fairly recent medical report says.

Why Viagra Is So Popular Today

Perhaps your hookup partners, as well as you favourite Sydney Escorts, would not be surprised any more if any (or nearly all) of their previous partners used Viagra before. In fact, more than 35 million men around the planet have already been prescribed Viagra (sildenafil citrate), which is a popular drug used to treat patients with erectile dysfunction (ED).

In fact, Viagra sales have already soared to more than $2 billion in 2012 alone. It also holds 40% of the market for sexual dysfunction treatments, and at an average cost of $22 per pill, the drug serves as a major source of income for its maker, Pfizer.

Why It May Double A Guy’s Risk Of Melanoma

According to new research that was published in the JAMA Internal Medicine journal, men who have ever used Viagra have nearly twice the risk of getting melanoma, which is the deadliest form of skin cancer, than guys who have never used it.

But while the study cannot fully prove that Viagra does indeed cause melanoma, the researchers pointed out that the drug belongs to a class of drugs called PDE5A inhibitors, along with other popular drugs like Cialis and Levitra, which work by inhibiting phosphodiesterase and increasing nitric oxide production.

While the drug can indeed help maintain erections,  it has been shown to reduce or down regulate the enzyme phosphodiesterase PDE5A, and low PDE5A levels have been noted to increase the invasiveness of melanoma cells.

While this article does not intend to destroy the image or reputation of Viagra, it simply aims to inform people of the study’s results, and warns users to consult with their healthcare provider first, before using it. Or perhaps you could choose to use all-natural herbs or plants to enhance your libido, and make life more fun for your hookup partner, as well as your preferred Sydney Escort!
